After initial several trials of formation, Real’s 1st President Julian Palacios inspired the creation of the club on March 6, 1902.
Since it’s been a century of beautiful football, triumphs, history, records, “hard” controversies, and world star players. Here are some reasons why most consider them as the greatest club in the world!

Barcelona fans will understandably disagree to most of the above, citing recent upper hand in face to face confrontations with real Madrid but the statistics are :In 217 official “Clasico” matches against Barcelona in all competitions, Madrid have won 86, losing 85 and drawing 46. Los Blancos have scored 364 goals and conceded 351.
To cement our assertion of Real Madrid as the greatest club in the world, FIFA named Real Madrid as the ‘Best Club of the 20th Century’. It is the only club to be awarded the honour.
I do however must say that at the moment Barcelona do play the most attractive, effective football that we see, but the assertion here is more about the club as a whole, the management, status, triumphs, fan base, past history, successful statistics and the space it occupies in modern day football and world football in general.
We have no choice but to be “fair” and wish them a happy 110th Birthday anniversary.
